Description
Propolis refers to both a resinous material produced by certain plants and a complex material made by bees from this plant resin and wax. It is used in the hive as mortar.
It is generally composed of resins and balms, wax, volatile or essential oils, pollen and other various materials.
A colony produces between 100 and 300g of propolis per year. The harvesting work is often tedious and the purification operations very delicate.
Our mother tincture is therefore the result of the maceration of propolis from hives in alcohol.
